Colorful hikes in Charlevoix

September 24, 2020

It is undoubtedly in the fall that outdoor hikes are more colorful! We have prepared an article to guide you and allow you to discover the most beautiful trails located nearby in the Charlevoix region.

Gabrielle-Roy

For a more pleasant and less difficult route, take the east direction of the trails. You can then go to the top of Mont Gabrielle-Roy and contemplate the river and the mountains of Charlevoix. For those who are used to hiking, you can head west to find yourself in the heart of the mountains and more winding routes with streams and rivers. This trail of nearly 12 kilometers offers many impressive and breathtaking views!

Saint-Tite-des-Caps

This long trail links Cap Tourmente and Petite-Rivière-Saint-François via the Saint-Tite-des-Caps trail. It’s also possible to take short hikes in three different sectors. Most of the route runs along a cliff near the St. Lawrence River, which allows you to admire exceptional panoramas.

La Chute

This trail will take you around 3h30 to walk, making it ideal for those who are not experience hikers. You can admire the beauty of the landscapes over more than four kilometers and also has four superb belvederes that surmount the river as well as the archipelago of the islands of Montmagny. In the fall, this area is even more spectacular since it is recognized among the "exceptional forests of Quebec" thanks to trees that are over 400 years old. A remarkable place to visit absolutely during your stay in Charlevoix!
